The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research is located at 2 Innovation Road, Macquarie Park, 15 kilometres from Sydney's city centre. It is part of Macquarie University's North Ryde campus and one of the largest business and technology precincts in the southern hemisphere.

The Macquarie University train station and a network of public bus routes connect the campus with the city centre, airport, beaches, residential suburbs, and shopping and dining districts like Chatswood and Parramatta.

Parking

Front Car Park Pick Up & Drop Off - Google Maps link

The front car park at the Woolcock is reserved for patient pick up and drop off only and accessible (disabled) parking spaces (3 in total). Please enter via Innovation Road.

Patients attending appointments can park in the on site Patient Parking under the building for a fee (check rates here). The car park entry is on the Innovation Rd under the building. After parking, take the lift to Level G and proceed to Woolcock Reception to check in.

Macquarie Centre Parking

You may consider combining your Woolcock Clinic visit with shopping at Macquarie Centre across the road. First three hours parking is free. Walk to the clinic via Herring Road Exit – located on the same level as the cinema and on the same side as the bus station.

Overnight Patient Parking

Patients staying overnight may park free of charge in the Basement 2 Car Park (Google Maps link) at the back of the building. The B2 Car Park is accessible either from Innovation or Talavera Roads.

Innovation and Talavera Roads entries are via boom gates with an intercom. Press the Bell button for the Woolcock Reception who will open the gate for you. If reception is unattended, use the Up-Down arrows to select 2IR Woolcock Control Room.

Once you are past the boom gate, please make your way to the roller door clearly marked as Basement 2 Car Park and use the intercom on the right-hand side to call Woolcock Reception.

Once you enter, park in the FIRST AVAILABLE SPOT on your left and take a lift to the Woolcock Reception on Level G.

Public Transport

We are easily accessible by train and bus. Macquarie University Metro station is on the corner of Herring Rd and University Ave. Macquarie is well serviced by buses, connecting the campus to the rest of Sydney. Stops are located within the grounds along University Avenue, with more services stopping along the borders of the campus, especially at the Macquarie Centre bus interchange The bus stop is directly outside our front entrance and the light rail station is within ten minutes walk.
