We investigate the role of allergens and viruses in asthma and rhinitis (hay fever). Both of these are major triggers for making symptoms worse. Our work focusses on developing methods for identifying different allergens and viruses, measuring the exposures and infections in people in their homes and outdoors and determining their contribution to symptoms of asthma and rhinitis.
