professor len Kritharides
Professor Kritharides is Head of Department and Director of Cardiology at Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH) Sydney, University of Sydney, and Deputy Clinical Director of the Cardiovascular Stream Sydney Local Health District. He is Group leader of the Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology Groups and Deputy Director of the ANZAC Research Institute (ARI). He practices as a General and Interventional Cardiologist.
Professor Kritharides is one of the specialists at the Woolcock Breathlessness Clinic. He works closely with our Respiratory Physician Dr Tracy Smith to treat patients who have been breathless for four weeks or longer despite treatment by their GP. Patients attending the clinic will complete a specially-designed questionnaire and undergo some basic breathing and heart tests prior to seeing the specialist doctors. Patients will then see Professor Kritharides and Dr Smith at the same time. These specialists will work together to devise an investigation and management plan for each patient and send detailed correspondence to the referring GP.
Has your patient been breathless for four weeks or longer? Refer your patient to the Woolcock Breathlessness Clinic for a specialist consultation with Professor Kritharides and Dr Smith.
