Clinical Management
The Clinical Management Group investigates the care of people with asthma and COPD in the community, clinic and hospital environment. Solely focused on boosting health and quality of life in patients, researchers determine the best possible therapy and care available.
They are patient-centred, ensuring care involves the patient in decision making about their health and in day-to-day management of their respiratory condition.
Current projects include work to improve asthma inhaler use and how to best help elderly and disabled people living with asthma.
The group collaborates with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, research psychologists, asthma educators, physiotherapists, speech pathologists and specialist respiratory physicians to complete research.
