Woolcock Research Grant Success

Woolcock researchers are associated with more than $3M for research projects and prestigious Fellowships that will commence in 2014 under the National Medical Research and Health Council (NHMRC)

Several project grants and fellowships were awarded to members across the institute. These include a project grant to A/Prof Janette Burgess on lung remodelling in asthma  ($661k),  a project grant with Dr Cindy Thamrin and A/Prof Greg King, focussing on clinical outcomes in COPD using home monitoring ($496k) and a collaborative grant with Greg King and the University of Western Australia focussing on extra cellular matrix and smooth muscle in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ($792k). Members of the institute also received a number of prestigious fellowships. These include a Career Development Fellowship for Dr Craig Phillips ($283k) a Senior Research Fellowship for A/Prof Euan Tovey ($132k) and a Senior Principal Research Fellowship for Prof Guy Marks ($898k).
