Marketing & Education Coordinator

The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research is internationally recognised in the fields of respiratory disease and sleep disorders research. We are committed to improving the respiratory and sleep health of all Australians through research, diagnosis, treatment, education, prevention and care. The Woolcock is located in Glebe and houses state-of-the-art research facilities which include a diagnostic clinic.

You will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager and Commercial Team with the smooth running of all marketing-related activities.

Your core duties will include:

  • Overall responsibility of managing and implementing marketing activities with a focus on education, sponsorships and events
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of educational events such as GP symposia including accreditation and sponsorships
  • Co-ordinate direct marketing activities to GPs and the general public including database and content management
  • Design and production of marketing material including print, web and social media
  • Co-ordinate marketing campaigns including events for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent and up to date communication across all marketing channels including print, web and social media
  • Other tasks as directed by the CCO from time to time

Pre-employment requisites:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or equivalent 
  • Experience in marketing and administration
  • Experience in managing healthcare professional education (highly desirable
  • Familiar with computer systems and able to generate reports from databases
  • Competent user of MS Office products, especially Word and Excel
  • Experience with Indesign (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Able to handle confidential information
  • Experience with web content management systems (desirable)

This role is a 12 month, full-time fixed term contract.

As a not-for-profit organisation the Woolcock is able to offer you the benefit of salary packaging up to $15,900 tax-free per annum which can increase your take home salary and offer a variety of other incentives
